For those of you who are unfamiliar, smudging is the practice of protecting, purifying and raising frequency with the smoke from smouldering sacred herbs. The practice of smudging has existed in ancient lineages and native cultures throughout time, being passed down generation to generation. It is again becoming increasingly popular in our society, particularly among the healing arts, thanks to our current reconnection journeys. It is relaxing, invigorating, liberating, healing and fun to incorporate this sacred ritual into your life and your healing work. And trust us when we say your crystals will absolutely sing with joy and glow with light energy – when they are smudged regularly (particularly before and after use!).

Because we believe in the importance of regularly clearing and protecting your environment and keeping its frequency high, Inspired Insight has bought together all the elements you need in this “complete starter kit” which includes the following items;

Sacred Herbs; Kyrona has carefully selected a range of natural plant resins (her personal favourites) that will work either individually or together to provide for all your daily smudging needs. These are posted to you in small plastic packets to keep them fresh and protected, when you receive them simply pour them into the relevant compartment of your kit box. The natural resins (sacred herbs) included in your box are;

Dragons Blood	10g	Provides powerful protection and is especially useful in neutralising negative energies. Dragon's blood is a deep red, shiny resin - the fruit of the tree it comes from is covered with scales. The resin seeps out between the scales, is collected, cleansed and then melted. It has been used for thousands of years in India as part of their rituals.
Nile Temple Blend	10g	Creates and atmosphere that facilitates sacred rituals. It also supports the balancing of electromagnetic energy for healing and lightbody work and greatly enhances crystal frequencies.
Amazon Rainforest Blend	12g	This amazing blend connects you to the magical wonders and healing powers of the Amazon Rainforest! It greatly facilitates grounding. It promotes the creation of a nurturing and soothing environment.
Frankincense	30g	Enhances spirituality, mental perception, meditation, prayer and consciousness, soothing the spirit as it slows and deepens breathing. It is also excellent for cleansing and clearing areas of negativity.

White Sage	20g	The great all-purpose purification and clearing herb (crystals love love love it!!!). It powerfully clears negative and dense energies. It facilitates the powerful nature of sacred rituals. It is very beneficial to clear with sage before and after healings.

* Handy Tip: one of our favourite mixes is to place dragons blood, frankincense and white, copal, with a touch of Amazon, nile blend and honey amber.

Nag Champa Satya Sai Baba Incense Sticks (1 x 10g) – as far as incense sticks go, these are as good as you can get. They are not overwhelming, they are exotic and they are luscious. Smudging Tools: We have included in your kit, the following essential tools to facilitate your smudging practice. We have come to work with these tools, in the means described below, by a process of trial and error. You can now benefit from this knowledge and start smudging with ease! * Do refer to the additional photos that demonstrate the product in use as described below.

Terracotta Bowl

This beautiful gold embossed bowl with handle will serve the test of time. It is needed to place smouldering charcoal’s in (as these get very very hot) and also can be used to place smouldering sage into. The handle allows you to move around your space and direct the smoke to the areas of focus.

Stainless Steel Tongs

This is your fabulous secret key to successfully working with charcoal tablets. As can be seen by the photos, you simply use your tongs to hold the charcoal while you light it from underneath with a flame (from a match, lighter or candle). Then place the sizzling charcoal into the terracotta bowl to begin smudging.

Charcoal Tables x10

One roll of charcoal tablets is included in your kit to get you started. These tablets are fantastic for burning your sacred herbs. Once lit and placed securely in the terracotta bowl, you simply place whatever mix of herbs you are guided to into the “cupped” surface of the tablet and then fan the smoke with your hand, by blowing or with a fan, moving the smoke around your energetic body, the edges of the room – particularly the corners, directing it towards crystals etc…

* Note: tablets smoulder for up to 45mins and you can refill them as often as you like during that time, with differing herb mixes.

Purchasing this kit ensures you have everything you need to get started clearing and purifying! We also provide refills for your resins and charcoals through this site to allow you to easily keep undertaking this practice. Depending on how often you smudge the resins will last quite a long time and the practice is relatively inexpensive.
